
"St. Jude" is the debut album by British indie rock band
Courteeners, which was released on 7 April 2008 on Polydor Records. It was launched at Manchester's Market Street HMV store where they performed and sold the first of their albums. The first album was bought by Andrew Harris at 12.01am which was signed and noted by Liam as their first album to be sold. Though the album was received to average reviews from critics, the album has become somewhat a cult success though many fans are more favorable to the versions of songs seen on Here Come The Young Men EP and various other demos. In support of the album the band embarked on a European tour. The album passed its 100,000th sale the same week follow-up Falcon was released. The 990 sales
Courteeners' album collected during that period, brought the total up to 100,757.
Most Popular Tracks:Courteeners first released the single "What Took You So Long?" on the 14 January 2008, the song reaching No: 20 in the United Kingdom. The album was preceded by the release of single "Not Nineteen Forever" on 31 March 2008, entering at No: 19 and becoming their highest charting single to date. A fifth single, "No You Didn't, No You Don't" was released on 23 June 2008.
Achievement:The album itself reached the No.4 position in the UK Charts, and has since gone on to achieve gold status.
